Mr. Tarver agreed staff should point out areas of disagreement between the Alameda
County East County Area Plan and the Pleasanton General Plan.

West Las Positas Committee Meeting

Ms. Michelotti wanted to be certain that the scope of work for the study include all
alternatives, including keeping the interchange.

Mr. Tarver referred to the approved timeline and he believed the first meeting with the
community is to look at the issues, identify the problems and alternatives and recommend how
to proceed. If there are things Council feels need to be addressed that were not raised by the
community group, then Council can deal with it.

Ms. Michelotti just wanted to be certain that every aspect is considered, including the
effects that would occur if there were no interchange.

Ballot Measure

Mr. Pico suggested staff prepare a timeline and staff report some time in 1997 that would
allow Council to put a measure on the November 1997 to vote on whether to retain an elected
City Treasurer.

Ms. Mohr was concerned that there be no expense to the City to put something on the
ballot regarding this issue.

Ms. Acosta indicated staff had planned to discuss this issue with Council.

Traffic Signal at Amador Valley High School

Mr. Tarver related a phone call that reported them was an injury accident this evening
at Amador and wanted to check on that. If there was an accident he did not want to delay
discussions regarding a traffic signal at this location any longer.

Ms. Acosta indicated there have been a number of requests for signals near various
schools and the Public Works Department is putting together a list for review when the Council
considers the CIP.

G0al Setting Workshop

Mr. Tarver requested an agenda item to consider a goal setting workshop sometime in
the near future.

Ms. Acosta indicated a report would be forthcoming and suggested a time in January.

19 11/19/96
