Item 7b Selection of facilitator for Council workshop.(SR95:336) Ms. Acosta presented the staff report. Mayor Tarver commented that even though it is mid-term and there may be some turnover, he felt there is a need to discuss where the City wants to go and what things need to be done. He supported the idea of a common direction and an understanding what the priorities are and making sure there is agreement as much as possible. Ms. Michelotti asks how many days the Council will be working with Mr. Ball in the facilitated workshop? Ms. Acosta replied 2 1/2 days unless a follow-up were requested. It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Mayor Tarver, to authorize the City Manager to sign a contract with Geoff Ball to conduct a Council workshop to determine goals, including project specific goals for 1995-96 to be used by staff in setting priorities. Mayor Tarver commented the City of Concord had a place on the agenda for correspondence. The Concord Council refers letters to the appropriate staff so that Council knows the letter was received and where it went. Ms. Michelotti asked when the Ray Street widening at Main Street will come back to Council. Ms. Acosta replied the staff report is not ready. There are still some questions that need to be addressed. That report will be presented soon. 8. CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR Mayor Tarver asked that the Council Calendar reflect that Mr. Pico had volunteered to take the Plans and Programming Committee of the Congestion Management Agency as the primary member and Mayor Tarver will be the alternate. 10/03/95 -16-
