Councilmember Brandes stated he felt the sewage disposal agreement with
Mr. Apperson was inconsistent with the Nipper development.

After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by
Councilmember LeClaire, that the City terminate its sewage disposal agreement
with Mr. Apperson.

After further discussion, it was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and
seconded by Councilmember Brandes, to table the motion until the Council has
had time to review this matter in more detail and instructed the City Attorney
to report on this matter at the June 13, 1977, City Council meeting.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

Councilmember LeClaire requested that the timing on the traffic signals at
Santa Rita Road and Stanley Boulevard be checked. Mr. Campbell explained that
construction in the area had caused the signal to be unbalanced but he would
remedy the problem.

Councilmember LeClaire requested that Pleasanton Avenue, south of St. Mary
Street, be repaired.

Mayor Philcox requested staff to investigate the feasibility of placing a
traffic signal on Hopyard Road at the entrance of the Youth Sports Park.

Mayor Philcox brought up the matter of appointments to the Planning Commis-
sion.

It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy,to~reappoint Commissioners Butler and
Doherty as members on the Planning Commission.

The motion died for lack of a second.

Council concurred that since advertisements had already been placed in the
newspapers for this recruitment, that interviews would take place as previously
determined, and that Commissioners Butler and Doherty would be considered in
the appointments to the Planning Commission.

CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR
Mr. Campbell presented the Calendar for the Council's information.

Council established the date of May 16, 1977, 4:30 P.M., Pleasanton Council
Chambers, for further consideration of the Preliminary Budget for 1977-78.

ADJOURnmENT
There being no further business at 1:10 A.M., it was moved by Councilmember
Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, that the meeting be adjourned to
meet again in Adjourned Regular Session at 4:30 P.M., on May 16, 1977, at the
Pleasanton Council Chambers.

10. 5/9/77
