The Committee believes
that ultimately, Alameda County should retain no control over land use in
a buffer zone between Livemore and Pleasanton as shown on Map #4 of the
report, but, instead, that a common boundary should be formed between the
two cities. This boundary should approximate the line agreed upon by the
staffs of the Cities of Pleasanton and Livermore. Said line is situated
approximately as follows:

Beginning at a point on the Alameda-Contra Costs County boundary,
proceeding south, southeastward along the ridgeline between Doolan
Canyon and Croak Road to the northwestern corner of the Las Positas
Golf Course, thence southward to a point approximately 3000 feet
north of Stanley Boulevard, then northeast approximately 1500 feet,
then southward to Vineyard Avenue, then west, southwest to the
Pleasanton-Sunol Glen School District boundary."

It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, to support
and approve the position of the Citizens Advisory Committee of the General Plan
Review, and transmit this information to the County Administrator's Office along
with a reaffirmation of the City Council's position that there be a common bound-
ary between the Cities of Livemore and Pleasanton with a line agreed upon pre-
viously by the City Councils.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson
' NOES: None
ABSENT: None

Councilman Herlihy suggested a study session be held at a later date regarding
this matter.

REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER (Cont4.)
Review of Bids and Award of Contracts.
