The Sycamore Water Reservoir will add
eight million gallons of additional storage capacity to the
City's water system.

On August 27, 1987, the City received twelve construction
bids. The City's Connecting Engineer and Construction Manager,
CH2MHill, recommended award of the construction contract to the
lowest bidder, S.J. Amoroso Construction Company, inc., Foster
City, California, in the amount of $3,435,000. The
construction contract provides for a fixed completion date of
275 consecutive calendar days from the City's issuance of its
Notice to Proceed. Under terms of the construction contract,
the contractor is required to furnish 100% faithful performance
and materials bond~ builder's risk insurance in an amount equal
to the value of the facility under construction; workers
compensation insurance~ and public liability insurance to the
extent of $1 million per personal injury occurrence,
$500,000 million property damage per occurrence, and $3 million
for combined occurrences. Insurance policies to be provided by
the contractor will name the City and the Lessor as co-insureds.'

For a description of the City's water supply, reservoir
storage, and distribution system, see "CITY OF PLEASkNTON WATER
ENTERPRISE."

Capital Project II

Capital Project II is the acquisition of an existing office
building from Pleasanton Joint School District of Alameda and
Contra Costa Counties (the "District"). The 7500 square foot,
wood-framed office building was constructed in 1972 on a 1.5
acre site. The City has advanced funds totalling $1 million on
behalf of the Lessor to complete the acquisition and will be
reimbursed from Certificate proceeds

The building had been used as the administration building
for the District since its completion in 1972. The City began
minor renovations on September 1, 1987 after the District
vacated the building and anticipates that such renovations will
be completed by November 30, 1987. The City will use the
building for the offices of the City Manager, City Attorney,
Finance Department, and Personnel Department.

12
