~ ~ ~.~1 ~~ ~ ~ Zoos AMENDMENT NO. 1 t1it~,i~! 4' ~l~ CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ~~ Office Remodel and Additiaii for the City of Pleasanton at 200 Old Bernal Avenue THIS AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR CONSOY.TANT SERVICES, originally executed on August 23, 1999, Contract Number C-99-096, is made and entered into this day of February 2001, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as "City"),and ATIt Architects and Engineers, a California corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Consultant") WITNESSETH: A. Consultant and City desire to execute this Amendment No. 1, to the original Contract for Consultant Services fcr the above referenced project, in order to expand the scope of services of the. original contract, to include additional design and studies of various items of work necessary to complete the construction aspect of the project, e.g, possible existing roofing replacement, modifications to the dataJtelephone and power systems, modify roof design for lunch break room and additional demolition and corrections to satisfy Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, Building Code requirements. B. In the judgment of the City, it is necessary and advisable to employ the services of the Consultant due to familiarity with the project and the need to preserve continuity ss well ss meet the project schedule ar-d budget. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants, agreements and conditions contained herein, City and Consultant agree upon the modifcation to the original Agreement, as contained herein, and that this AmendmentNo.l shall amend the original Agreement as follows: ~5 1. The scope of services of the original contract, will also include additional design and studies of various items of work necessary to complete the construction aspect of the project, e.g. possible existing roofing teplacement, modifications to the data telephone and power systems, modify roof design for LunchBreak room and additional demolition and corrections to satisfy Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing building code requirements. 2. In all other respects, the terms and provisions of the Agreement are to continue in full force and effect, except as amended by this Amendment No. 1 above.
