Page 4
1696-16
The material exposed in the high cut slope will also likely be subject to significant erosion. The plans
indicate portions of the estate home will be located immediately adjacent to the base of this slope.
Even with erosion protection, sloughing of soils on the slope may occur and impact the home. We
recommend consideration be given to the construction of aslough-retention wall and/or a larger
setback of the house from the slope.
3. Additional fault information -The report, and Table 1 (page 8), does not acknowledge the presence
of the nearby Los Positas and Greenville faults. The Greenville fault is shown on the Fault Map in the
Specific Plan and both faults are discussed in WGCEP (1999, updated 2003). The Los Positas fault is
located less than 7 km from the site and the Greenville fault approximately 15 km Of these two
faults, the Greenville fault is considered a "B" source with a possible magnitude of M6.9 by the State.
These faults should be incorporated in Table 1 and considered in evaluation of ground shaking hazard
at the site.
LIMITATIONS
Our services have been performed in accordance with generally accepted geotechnical principles and
practices.
