SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT #1 2 -4 Work Schedule Trial Period A Task Force, consisting of two (2) Union, two (2) Fire Management and an employee representing the cities of Livermore and Pleasanton as designated by the City Managers of the respective cities, will be established to determine the specific performance indicators, and the data collected, to be used in evaluating the 2 -4 Schedule. In addition, an ad -hoc Operational Committee will be established to address implementation issues related to the 2 -4 schedule. Effective no later than January 1, 2008, the Department will modify the work schedule for Fire Suppression personnel to provide for a one (1) year trial period for the 2 -4 schedule. The parties will meet to review final details prior to implementation. It is understood and agreed that the FLSA work week will be modified for employees working this schedule. During the trial period, the Task Force will prepare quarterly reports for the Joint Executive Directors, including a recommendation to continue the 2 -4 schedule. At the end of such trial period, the parties will meet annually to review the Department's evaluation of the impact of the schedule on overall departmental operations as seen in the specific performance indicators. In the event the Task Force determines that the impact of the 2 -4 work schedule has a detrimental affect upon the service, Fire Suppression personnel shall be given 60 days notice and shall return to the work schedule provided above.
