In
short, until then and after, all traffic will dump to Valley.
1. It makes traffic (and al( that comes with it) on a key city artery even worse (Stanley,Valley, Santa
Rita .
2. It occupies a key section of land in an area of town that needs a strategic plan first before any
further development approved.
3. Finally, there are other more tactical issues with this proposal we have. It poses as addressing
senior housing issues when it may be neither very senior nor affordable. In addition, the developer
positioned this land for school district purposes when they got the original Ironwood approval
years ago and not for 110 more homes.
Over the past year many people have spent hours of their free time communicating to the
Pleasanton City Council and Planning Commission that they would like the Cottncil to halt all
future commercial and residential planning to the South east part of Pleasanton until a solution is
found to the current traffic crisis. Thousands have sent emails and spoke at meetings to voice their
concerns.
Yet during the planning commission hearing on the issue, staff said no one objected to this
project. What then has the community been united in saying this last year? Is anyone listening ?
Enough is enough, I object to PUD-74. We need a plan defined to support traffic and buildout in
the East side before we add even more homes to this area which is already logjamed.
