RESOLUTION NO. 2025-50 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE LIVERMORE- PLEASANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS, LOCAL 1974 BATTALION CHIEF'S UNIT FOR THE TERM OF JULY 1, 2025 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2028 WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Livermore -Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1974 Battalion Chiefs Unit expired on June 30, 2025; and WHEREAS, representatives from the cities of Pleasanton and Livermore have met and conferred with representatives of the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1974 Battalion Chief's Unit and prepared a successor agreement covering the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of Understanding, Exhibit A to the resolution, between the Livermore -Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1974 Battalion Chief's Unit for the term commencing July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028. SECTION 2. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on August 19, 2025.
