RESOLUTION NO. 2026-010 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON INITIATING <br /> PROCEEDINGS FOR THE FORMATION OF A LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE <br /> ASSESSMENT DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS BONDE RANCH LANDSCAPE <br /> MAINTENANCE DISTRICT 2026-2 <br /> WHEREAS, the formation of the Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 2026-2 <br /> ("District") is being initiated pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (the "Act"), <br /> Division 15, Part 2, Chapter 2, Sections 22500 et. seq. of the California Streets and Highways <br /> Code, for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of landscaping and other improvements; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 2026-2 is intended to <br /> replace the Landscape Maintenance District 1993-2 (Bonde Ranch); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Landscape Maintenance District 1993-2 (Bonde Ranch) will be replaced <br /> only if there is not a majority protest against the proposed Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance <br /> District 2026-2; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council determines that said territory will be specifically benefited by <br /> the maintenance and servicing of said improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 22585 of the Act provides that the formation of Bonde Ranch <br /> Landscape Maintenance District 2026-2 shall be initiated by resolution. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. SCI Consulting Group is hereby designated as Engineer of Work for <br /> purposes of these proceedings and is hereby ordered to prepare an Engineer's Report in <br /> accordance with Article 4 of Chapter 1 of the Act and Article XIIID of the California Constitution. <br /> The Engineer's Report shall include a description of the improvements, the boundaries of the <br /> proposed assessment district, the estimated costs, the proposed method of assessment, and the <br /> assessment diagram. Upon completion, the Engineer shall file the Engineer's Report with the City <br /> Clerk for submission to the City Council. <br /> SECTION 2. The proposed assessment district shall be designated as Bonde Ranch <br /> Landscape Maintenance District 2026-2, City of Pleasanton, Alameda County, California, and <br /> shall include that certain real property situated in the State of California, County of Alameda, City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> SECTION 3. The proposed improvements to be made in this assessment district are <br /> generally described as follows: <br /> The installation, maintenance, and servicing of designated landscaped areas, open space slopes, <br /> fuel transition zones (fire breaks), entry features, open space drainage ditches, irrigation systems, <br /> trees in the open space and designated landscape areas, and the furnishing of water and power <br /> for irrigation systems, together with all appurtenant and incidental expenses within Tract 6483 <br />
