RESOLUTION NO. 2026-020 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY GRANT FOR <br /> ADULT LITERACY SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> ACCEPT THE FUNDING AND EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS FOR FISCAL <br /> YEAR 2026/27 <br /> WHEREAS, the California State Library supports libraries with state funded and federally <br /> funded grants, statewide subscriptions to electronic resources, and statewide initiatives with partners <br /> offering further resources; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Public Library's Adult Literacy Services Grant application <br /> was selected for grant funding, which will be used to enhance services to the Pleasanton <br /> community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Authorizes the City Manager to accept the California State Library grant <br /> funds for California Library Literacy Services in the amount of $42,856, and execute all <br /> necessary documents required by the grant program. <br /> SECTION 2.
