RESOLUTION NO. 2026-074 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO APPROVE A ONE-YEAR CONTRACT WITH BIGGS CARDOSA ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE VALLEY AVENUE SOUNDWALL REPAIR PROJECT, CIP 18437 IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,247 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to authorize the City Council to execute a one- year contract for payment of eligible project -related services and continued support through completion of the Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair project, CIP 18437; and WHEREAS, Biggs Cardosa Associates, Inc. has the necessary qualifications, experience, and ability to provide continued support for the Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair project, CIP 18437; and WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a one-year contract with Biggs Cardosa Associates, Inc. for continued support of the Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair project, CIP 18437; and WHEREAS, the total compensation under the one-year contract shall not exceed $15,247, unless otherwise authorized in accordance with City procedures; and WHEREAS, funding for the one-year contract is available in Fund 201, Miscellaneous CIP — General Fund; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the staff report, the proposed one-year contract, and all information presented at its regular meeting on September 15, 2026. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. The City Council approves the one-year contract with Biggs Cardosa Associates, Inc. for continued support of the Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair project, CIP 18437, in an amount not to exceed $15,247. SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the one-year contract, subject to minor modifications approved by the City Attorney. SECTION 3. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to take all actions necessary to implement the one-year contract, including execution of related documents, notices, amendments, extensions, and administrative actions, provided such actions are consistent with the approved budget and City policies. SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on September 15, 2026.
