in the exercise of reasonable diligence and the Chief Building Official shall make an affidavit to that effect, then said notice shall be served by publishing same once each week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in the City and by posting said notice on the property prior to the date of first publication. Such notice shall contain, among other things, the following information: A. Name of owner or other persons interested, as provided in this Section; B. Street address and legal description of the property on which such a building or structure is located; C. A general description of the matter which is being appealed; D. The owner's right of appeal to the City Council." Section 6. Chapter 20.24 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows: "20.24.010 Uniform Fire Code adopted. A. There is adopted by reference for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion that certain Code known as the Uniform Fire Code, Volume 1, more particularly described in this section, except such portions as are amended, modified or deleted in this Chapter, and the same is adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length in this chapter. B. Said Code is the California Building Standards Code 2000 Edition, (24 C.C.R.), and including by reference the Uniform Fire Code, 2000 Edition, Volume lincluding all indexes and appendices, except Appendix Chapters I-A, I- B, II-C, II-E, III-B, III-BB, VI-E, and VI-F published by the International Conference of Building Officials in cooperation with the Western Fire Chiefs Association, Inc., one (1) copy of which is on file with the City Clerk for use by the public. C. There is adopted by reference the "Development Strategies in the Wildland/Urban Interface" published by the International Association of Fire Chiefs and Western Fire Chiefs Association, 1996 Edition. 97
