Mr. Roy Jensen, Mr. Bud Krueger, and Mr; Jensen's Engineer, Mr. Fran Bryan, appeared'
before the Council to discuss the acceptance of Mr. Jensen's Tract on Walnut Drive and
also annexation of his proposed subdivision on the Groth Tract. Before acceptance can
be granted on the Walnut Drive Tract, it will first be necessary to correct the street
change in the Recorder's Office. Attorney White explained that the easiest and quickest
way to do same would be to abandon a portion of the street, after fifteen days notice a
hearing will be held, and then the portion of the street vacated would revert to the
surrounding property owners. On motion of Councilman Abrott, seconded by Councilman
Cairo, and approved by all Councilmen present, ORDINANCE 222, an ordinance declaring an
with Engineer Goodridge on these improvements. The Council also would require that no
lot should contain less than 6,000 square feet, and that no road within the subdivision
be less than 40 feet, curb to curb; that no shopping district be established, and that
the property owners assume their share of the bonded indebtedness of the Town. The
Council also favors an access road parallel to Santa Rita Road.
presented the Council with the estimates he had prepared for cost of constructing a
by the Council that a bond issue should be called, in the amount of 4115,000., which
would finance the construction of the reservoir and the well that is being drilled, at
a cost of $7,000., an additional $6,000. for pump and corrections and $1,500. for acquir-
ing site for, reservoir. On motion of Councilman Abrott, seconded by Councilman Hewitson,
an approved by all Councilmen present, Attorney White was instructed to draw up a bond
