compensation.
7. Car Allowance
The car allowance was increased from $150 to $200.
8. Maximum Vacation Accruals
The management plan establishes maximum vacation
accruals. While the maximums have remained the same, the
language has been clarified to reflect that accruals
exceeding the maximum will be cashed out annually.
The following issues were discussed, but no revisions
implemented.
1. Medical for Retirees
A request was made to revise the formula to delete the 10
years of service requirement, and this amendment was not
implemented.
2. Deferred Compensation
A request was made that the City make deferred
compensation contributions for management staff. This
was not implemented, however, a Cafeteria Benefits
Program when implemented could provide for any excess to
be paid in the form of deferred compensation.
3. Administrative Leave
A request was made to provide equal administrative leave
for all management personnel. Because administrative
leave is intended to be provided in -lieu of overtime,
this provision was not changed. Those classifications
receiving overtime will have less administrative leave.
4. PERS PICK -UP
A revised pers and taxation system has been discussed for
several years. After much discussion, it appeared to the
management representative volunteers that the only
benefit to this program was for potential disability.
Given that their is a cost to implement, it did not occur
with this review. We will decide whether to pursue this
program, or not, during this fiscal year.
