Article 8 (commencing with Section 111658)is added <br /> 3 to Chapter 6 of Part 5 of Division 104 of the Health and Safety <br /> 4 Code,to read: <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Article 8. Medical Marijuana <br /> 7 <br /> 8 111658. For purpose of this article, the following definitions <br /> 9 shall apply: <br /> 10 (a) "Bureau" means the Bureau of Medical Marijuana <br /> 11 Regulations in the Department of Consumer Affairs. <br /> 12 (a) <br /> 13 (b) "Certified testing laboratories" means a laboratory that is <br /> 14 certified by the department bureau to perform random sample <br /> 15 testing of marijuana pursuant to the certification standards for <br /> 16 those facilities promulgated by the departinc..t. bureau. <br /> 17 . ":- -- - - ,, - - - . -- - - - - . - • - . . <br /> 18 (c) "Edible marijuana product" means marijuana or a <br /> 19 marijuana-derived product that is ingested or meant to be ingested <br /> 20 through the mouth and into the digestive system. <br /> 21 (d)– Maiijn..na"...eansn.aiijuana,as&fi..ed-byScctien11018. <br /> 22 (d) "Marijuana" means all parts of the plant Cannabis sativa <br /> 23 L. sativa, cannabis indica, or cannabis ruderalis, whether growing <br /> 24 or not; the seeds thereof; the resin, whether crude or purled, <br /> 25 extracted from any part of the plant; and every compound, <br /> 26 manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the plant, <br /> 27 its seeds, or resin. "Marijuana"does not include the mature stalks <br /> 28 of the plant,fiber produced from the stalks, oil or cake made from <br /> 29 the seeds of the plant, any other compound, manufacture, salt, <br /> 30 derivative, mixture, or preparation of the mature stalks (except <br /> 31 the resin extracted therefrom),fiber, oil, or cake, or the sterilized <br /> 32 seed of the plant which is incapable of germination. "Marijuana" <br /> 33 also means marijuana, as defined by Section 11018. <br /> 34 (e) "Representative samples" means samples taken from each <br /> 35 batch or shipment of marijuana received from a licensed cultivation <br /> 36 site or any other source if intended for sale. <br /> 37 111659.
