•ubject: FW: EPSP comment SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL
Provided to the City Council
From: Berry Stoops
After Distribution of Packet
Sent: Wednesday, May 13, 2015 11:31 AM Date
To: Mayor and City Council
Subject: EPSP comment
Hello Mayor and City Council,
I am a Pleasanton resident who was asked to participate in a focus group meeting and presentation by
Lionsgate/Legacy and Kiewit on their vision for the EPSP. I was impressed with their plans and I am
concerned that other residents have not had the benefit of seeing this vision and what it could mean for
Pleasanton. I thought that the plan presented addressed many of the concerns with regard to high
density housing, water use and traffic congestion.
While I realize that the drought has raised concerns over the need to build out this area, I don't believe it
should stop the planning process. As I understand it, continuing with the Environmental Impact Report
and finishing the work of the taskforce can still occur. Decisions on 'when' to build can certainly be
delayed until the drought ends. I think two probabilities for the future are the drought will lessen
(and/or we will adapt usage to the water we have) and Pleasanton will grow. I think consideration for all
concerns is one thing but to just stop planning is not the best course to take.
there is a lot of misinformation about this proposed project and I hope that all residents have the
opportunity to see the presentation that I did. Thank you for considering this request
Regina Stoops
Pleasanton, CA 94566
Click here to report this email as spam.
i
