r Honorable Board of Supervisors Page 2 June 4, 2015
The MOU expires on January 1, 2113 and delineates the following roles. The Fairgrounds is responsible for all
utilities, landscaping, maintenance, except the cost sharing of resurfacing. The City of Pleasanton Police are
responsible for first response. Both the Fairgrounds and Pleasanton will support the future resurfacing as
necessary. The percentage of contribution for the resurfacing will be 75% from Pleasanton and 25% from the
Fairgrounds at approximately every 10 years. The Fairgrounds retains rights to use the parking lot as parking for
major events and charge parking fees.
Although these roles have been in place, the three parties need a written agreement to resolve the interim status
of the train station and maintenance of the parking lot going forward. Supervisors Nate Miley and Scott
Haggerty, as members of the County-Fair Ad Hoc committee, have been engaged in the discussions that led to
this MOU and Letter of Agreement. The City of Pleasanton has reviewed and approved the documents.
FINANCING:
In approving this MOU and Letter of Agreement there is no financial obligation upon the County of Alameda.
Very turs
Susan S.
