Subject
FW: Centerpointe Church & Ponderosa Homes
SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL
Provided to the City Council
After Distribution of Packet
From: Tracy Dunne
Sent: Thursday, October 01, 2015 11:02 AM
To: Pleasanton City Clerk
Subject: FW: Centerpointe Church & Ponderosa Homes
From: David Alpert [mailto:
Sent: Tuesday, September 29, 2015 10:43 AM
To: Mayor and City Council < citvcouncil @citvofpleasantonca.eov>
Subject: Centerpointe Church & Ponderosa Homes
Dear City Council,
Date OCT 'i JUO
I have been a resident of the Ironwood community for ten years and lived in Pleasanton for over twenty
years. I drive and walk by this property on Busch and Valley Avenue everday and live close by. I am not sure
if the City Council knows that only Ironwood Drive and Busch is the access for over 200 homes.
I prefer the preschool and private school to remain, and that the 27 new Ponderosa houses be constructed on this
property instead of the large church campus that was approved by the City before we moved here but that was
never built. I have always been concerned that a big complex having several buildings for the services,
meetings, a gymnasium, etc. would create a lot of weekend traffic and noise as well as result in more traffic and
noise during the week days and evenings. A large church campus could attract members beyond Pleasanton
much like the Crosswinds in Livermore and Dublin. The 27 homes which is roughly the size of two cul-de -sacs
near me will be safer for the seniors using the shared Centerpointe Court than the traffic visiting the big campus
24/7.
I think having the preschool/school remain along with the new houses will fit in nicer instead of having a hugh
parking lot and tall buildings next to senior apartments and existing homes.
Please approved this application. Thank you for considering the views of an Ironwood resident since this
neighborhood using Ironwood Drive will be the most affected by your decision.
David Alpert
Ironwood Resident
Donahue Drive, Pleasanton
Click here to report this email as spam.
