Thank you each again for your attention to this important matter. My thanks to you for listening to our community late into the evening on February 25. Measure PP Understanding that the purpose of that Workshop was for Commission members to ask questions, and not for you to rule, it was nevertheless very interesting to hear how each Commission member approached the road/structure question, as various Commission members each asked very different and cogent questions: Mr. Herb Ritter: What do public reference sources, like Wikipedia, say? Mr. Ritter asked "how do public sources define `structure"? He then focused on Wikipedia. With my apologies, Mr. Ritter's discussion of Wikipedia went too quickly for my note taking, but he walked a path through Wikipedia that he indicated left him with doubts over whether a road constitutes a structure. I was not able to trace the same path, and to the contrary it looks plain that Wikipedia strongly supports the notion that both the lay and specialized understandings of"structure" include roads. Here is the path I followed in Wikipedia: • Begin at "structure" on Wikipedia, like Mr. Ritter.' The choices from there are: physical structure; biological structure; chemical structure; musical composition; social structure; data structure; and software structure. • The most appropriate choice appears to he physical structure, which is what my notes reflect that Mr. Ritter chose. http://en.wikipedia.org/wildiStructure.
