My wife and I live at 301 Junipero Street. We're highly
concern about the high volume of traffic already, but any increase will only make our situation
worse. In the last about seven years on our block of Junipero between Sonoma and San Antonio
there has been 5 car accidents causing major property damage. At 238 Junipero a car went though
their medium between the street and sidewalk across the sidewalk onto their front lawn and took
down one of their Birch trees. At 276 Junipero again a car went though their medium, across the
sidewalk and took out one of their 5 foot tall brick light fixtures on their walkway and continued onto
their front lawn. At 298 Junipero a car hit their Toyota pickup truck parked in front of their house and
pushed it up onto their medium, causing his truck to be totaled. At my house at 301 Junipero, my
son's car was side swiped while parked in front of our home. This year a car crushed into the fire
hydrant at the corner of Sonoma and Junipero Street and sheared off the hydrant.
We are very concerned about property damage, but mostly about the safety of the people that live
here and the many that use our sidewalks to get to the schools, stores or just walking.
At your last meeting about Lund Ranch II, I spoke to you about all our neighborhood has tried over
the past 26 years to stop this continual increasing of traffic down Junipero Street. With the density of
our neighborhood, I'm sorry to say that it will only be a matter of time before some person will be
seriously hurt.
Thank you for your time,
Jay & Michelle Hertogs
Click here to report this email as spam.
