Arne and Peter both said what does this mean? It Sounds counter
productive? I decided to Google "small town character" and the article below
popped up. It's worth a quick read.
After reading it I wondered if this is even a Goal or a Mission statement, it
doesn't encourage or define the community's goals and needs of getting a
Parking Structure Downtown, increasing the day and night experience and
Vitality in Downtown, encouraging and promoting development and
revitalization of under utilized property sites.
Preserve means to keep the same. Small means as little as possible.
Development traditions? What's that, Is the original Kolln Hardware building
and the two Brick buildings on Rose and Main the example of our small town
development patterns. I think our DSP goal and Mission statement needs a
clearer more proactive definition to take us into the future until it gets
redone again in 2040. This goal doesn't appear to promote or encourage
anything.
Mike Carey
Sent from my iPhone
Investment Real Estate Company
11
