ATTACHMENT 2: PUBLIC COMMENTS
From: Jim Painter [
Sent: Monday, April 01, 2019 11:07 AM
To: Mayor and City Council
Subject: Proposed New downtown plan
Recently 1 have been aware of a recommendation to make our quaint downtown
more of a residential footprint. After 35 years of living in Pleasanton, I am
not happy to hear this.
Why do we need to make this change and have first floor residencies? Is it
about the money promises from developers Why do we allow businesses to be
shuttered for more than 2 years? Are there no consequences for those greedy
landlords?
Are we out of land to continue to build residential outside of the designated
downtown area?
It is time for the City Council to do the right thing for our quaint little
downtown. Do not let the developers money ruin it for all of us.
Sent from my iPhone
25
