The attractiveness of the downtown area is due to its retail and restaurant <br /> environment; that attractiveness is being diminished by three level residential units with <br /> no backyards being squeezed into small lots. <br /> It appears that the council may be considering development of additional high density <br /> residential units in the downtown area, for example on the Barone property. I wish to <br /> express my opposition to such additional development. Do we wish to look like East <br /> Dublin? <br /> In addition, the traffic through the one lane in each direction Main Street is getting <br /> difficult already. Downtown Pleasanton will lose his attractiveness if we turn it into East <br /> Dublin. <br /> Garry Podesta <br /> 24 <br />
