THE CITY OF
East Pleasanton Specific Plan
Public Comments pLEASANTONC
Original Message
From: Laura Danielson
Sent:Tuesday, December 03, 2019 5:36 PM
To: Mayor and City Council <citycouncil@cityofpleasantonca.gov>
Subject: East Side Plan
Hello Council,
I was very disappointed to hear that the East Side Plan was pulled from the agenda this evening.
As I mentioned when I spoke at the last meeting, serendipity brought me there that night to complain
about the ridiculous amount of time it took for me to get across town (compared to 10 years ago)on
Bernal/Valley Ave. I had no idea that the city was going to take another"stab" at East side planning.
Imagine my COMPLETE surprise then when discussion regarding planning moving ahead-right on the
heels of the revelation that our water is bad-might include a developer and the Planning Commission
taking the reins moving forward.
Whoa now! Was all I could think. I couldn't believe my eyes or ears!
If city staff or some council members think, again, on the heels of the bad water revelation, that this
isn't going to bring out Pleasanton voters in droves to oppose this bizarre fox-building-the-hen house
scenario they would be wrong. I just retired and have a big contacts list and a lot of free time on my
hands.
Sincerely,
Laura Danielson
Romano Circle
Sent from my iPhone
il
Provided to City Council for the February 18, 2020, Meeting 75
