17. <br /> <br />Amendments: This contract may be amended in writing by nmtual agreement of <br />County and Association: Notwithstanding the foregoing, the parties agree that no <br />amendment shall be effective prior to September 30, 2002 and that any <br />amendments after such date (if the agreement is renewed) shall be no more often <br />than annually. No amendments shall be discussed by the County or the Association <br />until the proposed amendment has been submitted to a Liaison Committee and the <br />Committee has met and discussed the proposed amendment.
