31-07 <br /> <br />31-08 <br /> <br />The slurry mixture shall be applied within two hours of mixing. In so <br />far as practical the mixture shall be applied starting at the bottom of <br />slopes and working up. The slurry shall be applied in a sweeping motion <br />so as to allow the fibers to build on each other until a uniform cover <br />is achieved and the material has been applied at the required rate. <br /> <br />No worker shall be allowed on the areas after hydr0seeding. <br /> <br />Reseeding. The Contractor shall notify the Engineer and schedule a <br />joint inspection of the seeded areas between 30 and 60 days after the <br />first fall rains. Areas to be repaired and reseeded will be delineated <br />by the Engineer and the Contractor shall effect the necessary repairs <br />and reseeding as soon as possible thereafter. Eroded slopes shall be <br />smoothed over, including the filling of rills or gullie~,~before <br />reseeding starts. The reseeding operation shall follow the <br />specifications herein. <br /> <br />Measurement and Payment. Erosion control will be paid for at the <br />contract.lump sum price. <br /> <br />Payment shall include full compensation for furnishing all materials and <br />equipment necessary to complete the erosion control planting as <br />specified, including repairs and reseeding. <br /> <br />CDS,1.20 31-3 <br /> <br /> <br />
