We bought our home new... as it was being built.
One of the neighbors objected to our fence and filed a complaint with the City. The
fence was/is to "CODE", but the Architectural Review Board thought a "Steel" fence
would look nicer and Voted 5-0 to take down our fence and spend the OUR (not
theirs) money to replace it. We had to take the issue it to the City Council and they
voted 5-0 that the fence was perfectly fine. What a waste of our time and the City's.
The City had a 15 page report on the issue, proving we were just fine.
I see that same kind of attitude from people. Once they have "theirs" they don't want
anyone else to have "theirs". Almost ALL the neighbors on their street (and in our
neighborhood) have 2 -story homes. They are not setting some new precedence
period.
I welcome the new neighbors and urge the Planning Commission to approve their
application.
Steven A.
