I-680 EXPRESS LANES – HWY 84 TO ALCOSTA <br />TVTC PROJECT SPONSOR <br /> City of Pleasanton <br />LEAD AGENCY <br />Alameda CTC, City of Pleasanton <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION (UPDATED SUMMER <br />2021) <br />Project C-7 will close the gap between existing and <br />in-progress HOV/express lane projects to the north <br />and south. The project extends for approximately <br />nine miles on northbound I-680 through Sunol, <br />Pleasanton, Dublin, and San Ramon. <br />Design and construction of this project is being rolled <br />out in two phases: southbound (Phase 1) and <br />northbound (Phase 2). <br />STATUS <br />Environmental and preliminary engineering studies <br />are complete. Phase 1 final design work was <br />initiated in February 2020 and construction for Phase 1 is anticipated to start in 2022. <br />PHASING AND SCHEDULE <br />The project is expected to be constructed in several stages. <br />• Phase 1 (Southbound) – Environmental and preliminary engineering studies are complete.
