As indicated in the Project Understanding, the design is based off a conceptual alignment and tied to horizontal references. The depth of the pipe will be determined during construction by others. We will prepare a comments response matrix and resolve the City comments ahead of the Bid Documents phase. Task 3.4. Bid Documents Mark Thomas will make final updates to the bid documents based upon comments from the City on the 100% PS&E. We will prepare a comments response matrix and resolve the City comments ahead of bidding. TASK 3 DEL/VERA BLES • Conceptual Design Exhibit • 50%Plans and Estimate • 100% Plans, Specifications and Estimate • Bid Documents TASK 4. BID SUPPORT Task 4.1. Bid Support Mark Thomas will support the City in the bidding process by answering written requests for information (RFI's) and providing design clarification as required. Because the level of effort required for bid support cannot be accurately forecast, Mark Thomas will provide bid support services on a time and materials basis. Mark Thomas has provided a budget amount based upon historic trends. Should the level of effort budget be insufficient, additional budget authorization will be required. The anticipated budget does not include the design of any major features for design addenda in the basic Bid Support Services. The City will prepare all copies of PS&E for distribution to bidders. TASK 5. DESIGN SUPPORT DURING CONSTRUCTION Task 5.1. Design Support During Construction During the construction phase, Mark Thomas will work closely with the City appointed and qualified Resident Engineer(RE) in order minimize construction conflicts and to expedite project completion. Mark Thomas will prepare Contract Change Order(CCO) plans, respond to Request for Information (RFI) and review shop drawings, if necessary. Mark Thomas will assist the City with CCOs including the preparation of plan revisions as well as interpretation of the contract documents. Work performed beyond the budget for this task will be performed on a time and materials basis.
