0602739 Siren, Wln 295HFSA7 200W, Dual <br />Tone, Non-NFPA 2016 <br /> <br />ELECTRONIC SIREN <br />A Whelen, Model 295HFSA7, electronic siren and remote head with a pre-wired unidirectional <br />microphone will be installed. <br />The model to be used will be determined by the chassis and location of the siren remote head. <br />The siren will contain a remote siren head and a siren amplifier with a dual system build in to the <br />amplifier. <br />The siren features will include: <br />Six (6) function siren plus radio repeat and public address <br />Will meet California Title 13 specifications. <br />Model 295HFSA7 or 8 will operate two (2) 100 watt speakers <br />Operates is dual or mono modes. <br />External dip switch selectable modes of operation. <br />Outputs 2 independent siren tones creating a "rich harmonic dual tone sound". <br />"Hands Free" operation. Turn On/Off and access all three siren tones (wail, yelp, and Piercer) <br />without taking hands from the steering wheel. <br />PTT (push to talk) switch on microphone overrides all siren functions. <br />Pre-wired unidirectional microphone. <br />Adjustable microphone volume. <br />Adjustable preset radio repeat volume. <br />Input polarity protection. <br />Output short circuit protection. <br />External mini spade-type fuse. <br />Bi-polarity horn/ring control activation. <br />Quick disconnect plug for ease of service or replacement. <br />Five year HDP "Heavy Duty Professional" warranty on amp. <br />NFPA 1901, 2016 edition, Section 13.9.1.1 requires the siren manufacturer to certify the siren as <br />meeting the requirements of SAE J1849, Emergency Vehicle Sirens. <br />Per the fire department specification, the siren and siren speaker come from separate <br />manufacturers and a certification is therefore invalid. The apparatus will be non compliant to <br />NFPA 1901 standards at time of contract execution. <br />0692039 Location, Electronic Siren, Center <br />Console <br />  <br />Electronic siren head will be located in the center console. <br />0076156 Control, Elec Siren, Head Only The electronic siren will be controlled on the siren head only. No horn button or foot switches will <br />be provided. <br />0601330 Speaker, (1) Federal, ES100C <br />w/ESFMT-EF Recess Mnt & S/S <br />Grille <br />SPEAKER <br />There will be one (1) Federal Signal DynaMax®, Model ES100, 100 watt speaker provided. The <br />speaker will use a Federal Signal, Model ESFMT-EF, recess mount with stainless steel grille. The <br />speaker will be connected to the siren amplifier. <br />0601555 Location, Speaker, Frt Bumper, <br />Recessed, Left Side, Outside <br />Frame,Outbrd (Pos 7) <br />The speaker will be recessed in the left side of the front bumper, towards the outside. <br />0895310 Siren, Federal Q2B <br /> <br />AUXILIARY MECHANICAL SIREN <br />There will be a Federal Signal Model Q2B mechanical siren furnished and installed in the front of <br />the apparatus. <br />The Q2B will be chrome finish. <br />The siren will have a 2-gauge cable connected to a power solenoid that is connected by a 2- <br />gauge cable ran battery direct to the primary chassis batteries and will be labeled Q2B+ at the <br />battery. The power solenoid will only be enabled when the emergency master switch is on. <br />The siren will have a 2-gauge ground wire connected to the chassis battery stud. The cable will <br />be labeled Q2B- at the battery. <br />0006097 Location of Siren, Recessed in <br />Bumper <br />The mechanical siren will be recessed in the front bumper on the right side. The siren will be <br />properly supported using the bumper framework. <br />0748305 Control, Mech Siren, Multi Select <br /> <br />MECHANICAL SIREN CONTROL <br />The mechanical siren will be activated by the following: <br />0748282 Control Mech Siren, Ft Sw LS <br /> <br />Left side foot switch. <br />0897453 Sw, Siren Brake, Mom <br />Rocker/Membrane, Red Outline, RS <br />Overhead Sw Pnl, Mux <br />A momentary switch will be included in the right side overhead switch panel to activate the siren <br />brake. <br />There will be a red outline decal around the switch. <br />0897454 Sw, Siren Brake, Mom <br />Rocker/Membrane, Red Outline, LS <br />Overhead Sw Pnl, Mux <br />A momentary switch will be included in the left side overhead switch panel to activate the siren <br />brake. <br />There will be a red outline decal around the switch. <br />56717Bid #:
