ATTACHMENT 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE WATER <br />RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD FOR DIRECTED GRANT ASSISTANCE FOR THE <br />WATER SUPPLY ALTERNATIVES PROJECT FOR WELLS 9 AND 10, AND <br />DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE CITY’S AUTHORIZED <br />REPRESENTATIVE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton (the “City”) desires and intends to finance <br />expenditures related to the planning, design, and construction Water Supply Alternative (Wells 9 <br />and 10) Project (the “Project”). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1.Approves this authorizing resolution to complete a Financial Assistance <br />Application for the Project as required by the State Water Resources Control Board. <br />SECTION 2.Designates Gerry Beaudin, City Manager, (the “Authorized <br />Representative”) or designee, is hereby authorized and directed to sign and file, for and on <br />behalf of the City, a Financial Assistance application for a financing agreement from the State <br />Water Resources Control Board for the Project. <br />SECTION 3.The Authorized Representative, or designee, is designated to provide for <br />the assurances, certifications, and commitments required for the financial assistance <br />application, including executing a financial assistance agreement from the State Water <br />Resources Control Board and any amendments or changes thereto. <br />SECTION 4.The Authorized Representative, or designee, is designated to represent <br />the City in carrying out the City’s responsibilities under the financing agreement, including <br />certifying disbursement requests on behalf of the City and compliance with applicable state and <br />federal laws. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br />a regular meeting held on February 6, 2024. <br />I, Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the <br />foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 6th day of <br />February 2024, by the following vote: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />_____________________________ <br />Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />___________________________ <br />Daniel G.
