City of Pleasanton—Merritt Property Project
Consistency Checklist 15183 Consistency Checklist

136
As discussed above, the runoff from the project site would be collected and
directed toward an underground storm system, then stored and metered out
of a proposed detention basin. The details of the storm drain bypass are
provided in the RJA Hydrology and Hydraulic Calculations for Existing Off-site
Drainage and Proposed Strom Drain Bypass report (Appendix G).
Additionally, the proposed project would be designed so that runoff from
roofs, sidewalks, walkways, patios, driveways, etc., would be directed onto
vegetated areas. These proposed project design features would help to
reduce the impact to groundwater recharge and sustainable basin
management.
The proposed project is considered a C.3 Regulated Project and, therefore,
must include appropriate site design measures, source controls, and
hydraulically-sized stormwater treatment measures. The proposed project
would be subject to the Hydromodification Management requirements in
Provision C.3.g of the MRP.
Therefore, the proposed project would be in compliance with the
sustainability goals provided in the Alternative GSP for the Basin. Additionally,
the proposed project’s design features and compliance with the applicable
laws and regulations would reduce the impact to groundwater to less than
significant.
Therefore, there are no environmental effects that are peculiar to the
proposed project. The proposed project would not result in a new or more
severe adverse impact that was not previously identified in the Housing
Element Update FEIR.
Conclusion
With regards to Hydrology and Water Quality, the Consistency Checklist
demonstrates that:
1. No peculiar impacts related to the proposed project or its site that were
not analyzed as significant effects in the Housing Element Update FEIR
have been identified.
2. There are no potentially significant off-site and/or cumulative impacts
which were not analyzed in the Housing Element Update FEIR.
3. No substantial new information has been identified which results in an
impact which is more severe than anticipated by the Housing Element
Update FEIR.
