number of fire vehicles the City owns and their expected replacement costs. This $650,000
includes $250,000 in a one-time contribution from the General Fund that the City Council
approved at its December 19, 2023 meeting based on staff's recommendation to allocate FY
2022/23 available fund balance. This type of additional contribution from the General Fund
cannot be expected every year. Given the very low fund balance in the Fire Apparatus
Replacement Fund, a near-term priority will be to build back up the reserve level.

Prepared by: Submitted by: Approved by:

David Luera, Operations &
Maintenance Manager
Siew-Chin Yeong, Director of Public
Works

Gerry Beaudin, City
Manager

Attachments:
1.
