Located on the southern side of the block roughly bounded by St. John Street to the south, Main Street to the east, Arroyo del Valle to the north, and the railroad tracks to the west, the subject parcel is close to the commercial center of Pleasanton which lies to the east and south. Low-rise residential buildings, mostly single-family houses, appear to the west. The main building on the site, the restaurant, is located nearest St. John Street and has had numerous additions over the years. The additions almost completely surround the original structure which can be identified by the truncated hip roof.
