DRAFT
CIPPP-01
•Weighted scoring for each prioritization category is in recognition that each of the
categories serves distinct needs and priorities emphasized in the ONE Pleasanton
Strategic Plan and through community input.
•Each prioritization category is assigned a maximum weighted score. The
combined total weighted scores of all six categories equal 100 points.
•The importance of the categories is denoted by the number of possible points a
project can score under each category. Depending on the project sponsor’s stated
project attributes using the supporting focus factors, a stated weighted point value
set by the sponsor may be awarded to the project by the reviewing committee,
should reviewers agree with the sponsor’s supporting statements.
Prioritization Categories
1. Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Create a safer and healthier community for the residents and businesses of Pleasanton
Weighted Score: [0-21]
This category's weighted score was allocated 21 maximum points, which is one additional point
compared to the other highest-scoring categories to reflect the community’s top prioritization in
the community survey for public health and safety. In addition, it acknowledges the need to
comply with state and federal requirements to ensure it does not impact funding and grant
opportunities.
This category emphasizes projects that enhance emergency preparedness, protect public health
and safety, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory mandates, and address consent decrees.
Projects in this category aim to improve public well-being, prevent injury or harm, and meet the
requirements of state and local regulatory agencies.
An example of a high-scoring project in this category is the replacement of a fire station to
accommodate new fire trucks, ensuring improved emergency response capabilities.
Focus Factors (Projects that prioritize the following):
•Overall emergency preparedness capabilities
o Reduced emergency response times to minimum operational standards
•Protection of public health and safety
o Distinguishing health disparities and safety disparities
•Compliance with legal, regulatory, mandated requirements, and consent decrees
o Projects that focus on meeting current regulations
o Promoting safety and healthy lifestyle activities
Page 312 of 893
