Title. <br />This chapter shall be called the "Housing Opportunity Zone (HOZ) District" ordinance of the city of <br />Pleasanton. <br />(Ord. 2272, 12/19/2023) <br />§ 18.38.020. Purpose. <br />The purpose of this chapter is to enhance the public welfare and ensure further housing development <br />attains the city's housing goals, including affordable housing, by increasing the production of residential <br />units for all income levels. To ensure the remaining developable land is utilized in a manner consistent <br />with the city's housing policies and needs, this HOZ district is created to allow new or expanded <br />affordable housing development opportunities to all applicable parcels as specified in the city's Housing <br />Element of the General Plan.
