Report 1
The creation of the Free Harrington Art Walks was published in the MOM newsletter and
the PCAC website. Reduced funding of this project affected marketing, promotion and
attendance. The Harrington Art Walk centered on the 10 artworks outside the Firehouse,
two inside and the three in front of the MOM.
Attendance was poor even though adjustments for different days times and evenings were
considered.
If applicable, describe any modifications to the project goals, timelines, etc., and reason(s)
for change. If you have not submitted invoices due to project delays, please provide
details here.
Report 1
The original grant request envisioned hiring a professional to execute a successful
marketing plan. Based on the lackluster attendance, a second thought came forward to
place Public Art writings and pictures on the PCAC website linked to the City’s Public Art
clickable map. Jan Coleman-Knight would create the writings and take the photographs
(converting HEIC to jpeg) A person would be hired to create the code to match the City map
number, with the writing and pictures so it would be seamlessly clickable. The thought was
to bring forward the opportunity for eventually include all of the Public Art, Painted Utility
boxes and Temporary Artworks. Jan Coleman-Knight’s accepted this workload would be
burdensome.
Were any costs incurred for this project (from any source) during this reporting period?
1
Yes
No
Were any Pleasanton grant funds expended for this project during this reporting period?
