TVAST will be widely marketed using many print, on-line, social media, and in-person
strategies. These include the following:
We will use street banners, printed promotional materials (postcards, flyers, posters), direct
mail to past attendees, newspaper inserts in East Bay Times, targeted emails to local
residents through BANG, social media promotions, and ads in local papers and onlines
(Pleasanton Weekly, The Independent).
We will leverage the invaluable networks of participating artists and collaborating arts
organizations.
We will promote the event at local farmers markets, with artists staffing tables and
interacting with community members. Several artists will paint plein air in public areas and
distribute promo materials.
The calls to artist participation will be publicized in art association newsletters and
appropriate event calendars.
Bike tour information and the event will be entered into event calendars throughout the East
Bay. Bike shops and Cycling groups will be reached out to in order to help spread the word
about "artcycling" in social media posts, newsletters and flyers.
We will distribute media releases both around the event and around the bike tour which is
an innovative, green way to experience TVAST. We will seek an article in Diablo magazine
and east bay newspapers about the event and the "artcycling" angle.
During the event, all studio stops will have street signs to guide attendees, maps showing
all participating studios, and other pertinent informational flyers.
Explain how this project will be implemented and include a brief timeline for
implementation.
Implementation of the project is the responsibility of staff members, the board of directors,
and volunteers, most of whom are artists themselves. TVAST is the largest event of our
organization and the project requires ongoing planning and preparation. With three years
experience, the team has developed checklists and materials that are now proven.
Although we work from a more detailed task spreadsheet by committee, a sample brief
timeline for implementation is:
2025 TVAST Event Timeline
2024:
October - November
Revise website and artist signup documents
Locate Local Grants and submit grants
Locate Regional Grants and Other Funding Sources, make appropriate submissions
2025:
December - January
Launch Calls to Artists
