Describe how this project is cost effective and whether the budget is reasonable for the
anticipated result. If this project does not receive funding, what will be the effect on this
project?
The event is highly cost-effective given the number of artists (100 overall, 33 Pleasanton)
and Pleasanton residents (3,000) it serves. TVAST has become another touchstone of
pride as one of the many positive cultural opportunities in the Pleasanton community,
adding to the overall living values of the Tri-Valley.
The $5,000 request is less than one-third of the overall project budget ($18,000). Many of
the services and needs for the event are donated, so that all funds can be used wisely.
Alliance for the Visual Arts (AVA) has a very experienced board and staff which oversees all
project costs. All of the grant funds will be used directly for the TVAST event.
If the grant request is not funded, we will have less ability to market TVAST and may need
to adjust some of our exhibit venues. We feel the $5,000 request is in alignment with the
Pleasanton's Cultural Arts Plan and will be dollars well-spent in serving artists and
residents.
If your agency received funding from the City of Pleasanton in the past five years, please
include project name, funding level and the year funding was received (enter N/A if not
applicable).
2023-24
Tri Valley Artist Studio Tour (TVAST)
$5000 (in process)
New Applicants only: Did you watch the Community Grant Application Workshop Video?
Yes
No
Please indicate your City of Pleasanton Business License No.
1021218
Please confirm that you have uploaded the following in the “Documents”
tab:
Current annual budget for the entire agency, including revenue
Agency organization chart
List of Board of Directors/Governing Board
Page 32 of 116
