When we moved to Pleasanton <br />the library was across the street from the post office. I am writing <br />because I'm opposed to reducing the library's hours from 62 to 40 <br />because of its impact to residents of all ages. As referenced in <br />previous budget discussions, the library is the most used facility in <br />the City of Pleasanton. I use the library for quiet relaxing time as <br />well as an excellent resource for information. Often times I find info <br />of which I had no knowledge. For example info regarding home <br />improvement programs. And the staff has been very kind in helping <br />me navigate through areas where I am unfamiliar. If library's hours <br />are reduced, my quality of life will be directly impacted as I do use <br />the provided internet as well. New and longtime community <br />members have always been attracted to the excellent educational <br />opportunities Pleasanton offers and the library has been a major <br />role in this. <br />This is why I urge the council to maintain the library's hours of <br />operation." <br />Thank you for for your support, as always. <br />S incerely, <br />Gwen <br />
