I am writing to express my <br />strong opposition to closing the library 2 days a week and reducing <br />library collections by 50%. <br />I am a frequent visitor of the library as well as a volunteer <br />Booklegger. I have witnessed the increasing use of our Public Library <br />over time. It's a hustling, bustling place- in the morning for parents <br />with young children and in the afternoon with many different ages <br />and in the evening with both families and high school students <br />needing to meet and study. <br />Reducing library access means limiting opportunities for students, <br />job seekers, families, workers, and community members who <br />depend on its resources. I urge you to stand with residents and <br />protect the Pleasanton Library by maintaining its current hours of <br />operation and collections. <br />Sincerely, Vicki Hubbard <br />
