SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL
requirements are the responsibility of applicants (i.e. do not involve staff time or
costs), and so no substantial changes to the current procedures are anticipated.
Since most of the current noticing requirements are included in the PMC and the
1991 City Council policy, changing them would require formal amendment of those
documents. Staff is currently preparing an analysis of existing noticing
requirements and will provide recommendations for changes for City Council
consideration at a future date. Staff recognizes the intent of extended public
notification as reflected in the PMC and the 1991 policy, but also that the current
approach goes well beyond minimum legal requirements and is both costly and
time-consuming given limited City resources. Therefore, recommendations are
Likely to include both a scaling back of existing notification, additional focus on
lower-cost notification methods (such as electronic communications); and ways to
improve cost -recovery around public notifications, particularly if there is interest in
continuing to have substantially more expansive noticing than required by State law.
b. #3 (pg. 10/40) —Can you let me know, does this include all executive coach
contracts?
Answer:
No, this reduction does not include all executive coach contracts. As outlined in
Attachment 1, the proposed reduction includes elimination of the following
contracts, as well as partial reductions to contracts in other departments not
associated with a specific program or service:
• TruePoint for assistance with Accela Cloud Migration (Permit Center
Software)
• Townsend Public Affairs (Pleasanton Only contract)
• Johnson Aviation (Airport & FAA Expertise)
• Rincon (CAP 2.0 Support)
2
