City of Pleasanton—Villages at the Quarry Project <br />Consistency Checklist 15183 Consistency Checklist <br /> <br /> <br />94 <br />• The Project Arborist shall determine removal of roots larger <br />than two inches in diameter, as these roots may be critical to <br />overall tree health and stability. <br />• If roots must remain intact in this area, they shall be cleaned, <br />coated with three to four inches of insulating foam sealant, <br />such as Great Stuff Pro or equivalent, and capped with a PVC <br />pipe sleeve. <br />• Brush the roots carefully prior to foam application to remove all <br />loose soil and as much dust as possible. This will assist with <br />bonding, to prevent the foam sleeve from slipping off during <br />the concrete pour. Pour concrete with care to avoid <br />dislodging the root protection. <br />
