City of Pleasanton—Villages at the Quarry Project
15183 Consistency Checklist Consistency Checklist

161
The General Plan states that if the exterior noise source is a railroad, then the
outdoor noise exposure criterion is 70 dBA day/night average sound level
(Ldn) for future residential development. When these peak noise hour
measurements are averaged over a 24-hour period and taking into account
quieter nighttime average noise levels, these documented existing ambient
noise levels would not exceed 70 dBA Ldn and are considered acceptable for
new residential land use development. Therefore, the proposed project
would not result in any conflict with the City’s noise land use compatibility
standards.
Therefore, there are no environmental effects that are peculiar to the
proposed project. The proposed project would not result in a new or more
severe adverse impact that was not previously identified in the Housing
Element Update FEIR.
Conclusion
With regard to Land Use and Planning, the Consistency Checklist
demonstrates that:
1. No peculiar impacts related to the proposed project or its site that were
not analyzed as significant effects in the Housing Element Update FEIR
have been identified.
2. There are no potentially significant off-site and/or cumulative impacts
which were not analyzed in the Housing Element Update FEIR.
3. No substantial new information has been identified which results in an
impact which is more severe than anticipated by the Housing Element
Update FEIR.
4. No mitigation measures would be required because the proposed
project’s specific impacts would be less than significant.

Mitigation Measures
None.
