City of Pleasanton—Villages at the Quarry Project
15183 Consistency Checklist Consistency Checklist

215
project’s frontage, which would serve as the west-end section of the
planned East Pleasanton Trail outlined in the Trails Master Plan. Both the trail
running along Busch Road and the trail along Valley Avenue would be 10-
feet wide with 2-foot-wide shoulders. The East Pleasanton Trail would extend
beyond Busch Road onto El Charro Extension to connect with the greater
network. A section of the East Pleasanton Trail would be present running
along the east side of the project site from Busch Road to Stanley Boulevard.
As such, the TIA concluded that the proposed project would be cohesive
with existing and envisioned trails for the Trails Master Plan.
Transit Facilities
The project site is not directly served by any transit routes. The closest bus stop
to the project site is served by the westbound Route 10R bus on Stanley
Avenue located approximately 0.4 mile south. The second closest transit stop
to the project site also serves the Route 10R bus on Santa Rita Road,
approximately 0.8 mile west of the project site. Both transit stops would be
accessed via existing pedestrian facilities on Valley Avenue. As existing transit
stations are approximately 0.5 to 1 mile from the project site, some future
residents may choose to use a shared mobility device, such as a scooter or
bike share to access transit.
As described in the project-specific TIA, the proposed project would have a
significant transit impact if the project would interfere with existing transit
facilities or preclude the construction of planned transit facilities. As
described above, the proposed project would not interfere with existing
transit facilities or preclude the construction of planned transit facilities and
would have a less than significant impact on transit facilities consistent with
the Housing Element Update.
Conclusion
In sum, there are no environmental effects that are peculiar to the proposed
project. The proposed project would not result in a new or more severe
adverse impact that was not previously identified in the Housing Element
Update FEIR.
b) Vehicle Miles Traveled
Would the project: Would the project conflict or be inconsistent with CEQA Guidelines
Section 15064.3, subdivision (b)?
