The system will only work as designed if all three components achieve the specified
performance standards outlined within the RFP(s). During the Startup subphase, Diameter will drive the
development of a User Acceptance Test (UAT) that provides the framework for all the tests conducted to
confirm that work done to integrate all the software that will support the AMI solution has been successful.
Once developed and approved, Diameter will work with the AMI and installation vendors along with the
Pleasanton integrations team to define the requirements of the test environments/data that must be
developed to support the UAT. Once UAT begins, Diameter will chair testing huddles, where the teams
responsible for testing will meet daily to assess successes and failures and determine what needs to be
done to address the failures as effectively and efficiently as possible. Following the successful completion
of the UAT, Diameter will lead Initial User Acceptance Testing (I-UAT). The purpose of I-UAT is to confirm
that the end-to-end process of service order creation, AMI upgrades, data transfer and billing all work as
anticipated, including any AMI alarms that are meant to be captured. For I-UAT, meters, radios and
network collectors will be deployed in a test environment, with water passed through the meters, t o
perform the tests and review all processes. This test must be successfully completed prior to the start of
the Proof-of-Concept subphase to ensure all requirements of the assets and network have been met.
1.3.3.
