This may include traditional
community meetings or “pop-up” events, council study sessions, and/or Technical
meetings with City Departments or Stakeholder. The consultant’s participation in these
events will focus on introducing and receiving feedback on site options, as well as draft
goals and objectives.
If deemed preferable, in the stakeholder engagement strategy, one or more of these
meetings may take place prior to the development of the Draft Goals and Objectives and
Draft Reuse Options in Task 4 to inform these drafts. This could be up to 2-3 community
meetings; VMWP to facilitate 1-2 stakeholder sessions organized by the City and BART.
Deliverables:
5.1 Public Outreach Material as needed.
5.2 Participation in up to 3 Community meetings; Organize/Run 2 Zoom meetings and or
organize community 1 in person meetings. The minimum standards will
encompass the City’s and BART’s requirements (e.g., housing requirement as per
City housing element, station access requirements), while the preferred
characteristics will cover the desired land use mix, preferred site designs, and
circulation framework and development parcels. The vision and standards will be
presented in both visual formats, such as concept plans and reference images, as
well as in written form.
c.Implementation actions: Memo identifying necessary agreements, actions, and
studies required to be undertaken to advance the site towards an RFQ for
Page 20 of 21
