Schedule A
PPD seeks funding through the CHP Cannabis Tax Fund Grant to enhance training, public education, and
enforcement efforts. The initiative includes:
• Officer Training: Double the number of SFST and ARIDE-trained officers and implement four in-
house DUI instructors.
• Community Education: Expand public outreach at major community events (e.g., Weekends On
Main, Coffee with a Cop, etc) and via social media.
• Enhanced Enforcement: Deploy a hybrid DUI officer position, combining motorcycle traffic
enforcement with daily targeted DUI patrols, supported by a dedicated DUI enforcement vehicle and
motorcycle.
• Data Analytics: PPD will utilize Crossroads and Crossroads Analytics software for improved tracking
of DUI incidents and enforcement effectiveness.

By strengthening internal training, increasing enforcement capacity, and enhancing public education, PPD
aims to reverse the current trend, improving roadway safety by reducing cannabis and alcohol-related
impaired driving.

Performance Measures/Scope of Work
PPD has established clear and measurable objectives to evaluate the success of the proposed program.
These performance measures will ensure accountability and track the program's effectiveness in reducing
impaired driving incidents. The outlined goals focus on increasing DUI arrests, decreasing DUI-related
collisions, increasing officer training, and enhancing public education. Each of these objectives aligns with the
program's mission to improve road safety and reduce alcohol and cannabis-impaired driving.

Project Goals & Objectives:
1. Increase DUI arrests by 15% within one year.
2. Reduce DUI-related traffic collisions by 15% within one year.
3. Double the amount of trained patrol officers in DUI enforcement (SFST/ARIDE) within one year.
4. Enhance community awareness through at least three public outreach events and six social media
posts within one year.

Timeline & Key Milestones:
• Within the grant period PPD with host one DUI checkpoint in Pleasanton. (Quarter 4).
• PPD will conduct three community presentations within the year. (Quarters 2 and 3 will be Weekends
on Main and Quarter 4 is Cone with a Cop)
• A hybrid DUI/Traffic Unit Officer will be identified, trained, and implemented. (Quarter 1)
• The hybrid DUI enforcement officer will work Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat, and split enforcement efforts
between traffic enforcement in the afternoon and DUI enforcement in the evenings/nights. This will
result in four directed DUI enforcement shifts per week or approximately 200 shifts within the year.
(Quarter 2)
• A vehicle (2025 Chevrolet Tahoe) will be purchased, outfitted, and assigned to the Traffic Unit
specifically for hybrid DUI/Traffic enforcement officer. (Quarter 1)
• A motorcycle (2025 BMW 1250 P) will be purchased, outfitted, and assigned to the Traffic Unit
specifically for hybrid DUI/Traffic enforcement officer. (Quarter 1)

PPD will utilize Crossroads software to track program impact, ensuring alignment with these objectives.

Project Performance Evaluation
To assess the program's impact, PPD will implement a comprehensive evaluation plan that includes tracking
DUI arrests, collision statistics, officer training progress, and community outreach engagement. Monthly
reports will be generated to analyze trends and adjust strategies as needed. This evaluation framework
ensures that the program remains effective, adaptable, and aligned with public safety objectives.
